Speaking up Gub...is that guy still around Chicago? I saw him play with this band, Ming, a few years back. I heard he was doing some shows with Even in Blackouts recently. Gub used to be a bit of an emo legend back in the Gauge days. I still dig that band even though emo isn't really my thing. We'll we ever see an entry for the Ivy League 7" or any of the other Shakefork bands? You knew Ray Kolenko, so I figure your take on that stuff might be interesting.

I beleive he is still around here somewhere, though its been a few years since I last saw him. I will eventually cover a couple shakefork bands that were friends of mine. I plan to ask Bob Fogarty to write the Ivy League history next time I talk to him.

I saw AOD countless times in the mid 80's and they always killed it. One memory that's stayed with me was around '87 I think, when the Bangles had a hit song. AOD did a gig at SUNY Purchase and in the middle of a hyper fast song they stopped cold and acapella'd the words "Walk like an Egyptian" and they went right back into the thrash. I cracked up. Them and 76% Uncertain I could (and did) see over and over again and always enjoyed it.
