Methner was one of a kind, man. One of the most profane, offensive, flat-out hilarious people I've ever met. Never got to hang with you, Bob, but he talked about you all the time. Got a pic of him scowling on my fridge. Would love to hear "Brightmoor Kids" again. Do you have a copy of our version of "Helter Skelter"? I would give anything (or my left nut, as Bill would put it) to hear his take on the world today. Wherever you are, Methner, tear it up!

Jim. Yes, Larissa and John lived in the apartments in the Women's Club, which was originally opened as Clutch Cargo's, which was later moved to St. Andrew's Hall after a dispute with the building owner. They then opened the City Club in the same space working with different promoters, but, that was short lived.

Yes, that was an amazing space and in irony of all ironies, it is now a Police Academy.

Bill Methner was my bro. We spent the mid seventies jammim to Lou reed, G-X, Pistols, anything different. I miss him emmensly. He had a sense of humor that rivaled the best. We sang in the church choir to get out of bible study. We effed around the whole time. Bill, U were my best friend and I'll always miss u, I still have ur Linkletter tapes and listen to them sometimes. the song Brightmoor Kids still rocks. When I check out ur the first person I'm going to look for. Tell then bro....

Larissa Stolarchuk / Strickland - 46 and gone-DAMN-it
Current mood:sbsolutely sick and shitty
Category: Friends
i just learned of this tragedy in the past couple days. (15feb07) it's made me ill for those couple days and will probably make me ill again when i think of Larissa's untimely passing - and i will. Larissa had a life before music - art - and it earned her full-access-backstage photo passes to the *first* KISS tour at Cobo hall (Detroit,MI). Cream mag printed her pic w/KISS backstage. Larissa was then a sophomore in h.s. (iirc). on the next monday southfield highschool went berzerkerz. Larissa moved to NY to do art for Casablanca and/or KISS for a while.

Last time we saw each other was when she came over to my place in A2 totally lonely - abandoned.

this is very difficult for me to write, i think you understand.

all she ever wanted was to 'be part of,' 'to be included IN' - and all the guys had run away that night (late summer 1995). from my perspective Larissa contributed far more quality and quantity to art and music with her energy and her magic than she got credit for and she was feeling abused and left out more and more often.

she needed to be noticed.

now i feel lonely, totally lonely. i'm happy to hear she got married. i hope that was a GoodThing (tm) for her. good night sweet princess; better dreams this time, i hope.
