The radio show last nite was a success. A few people called in and said they really enjoyed the show and listening to the old punk brought back some good memories. That made my day to have someone call in and appreciate what I was doing. Doing the show was a lot of fun and I met a fellow old punk (actually older than me) last nite who was way involved in the early punk scene around here and got to hear some great stories and made a new friend. Darius said I can come in and do a special show from time to time, which I am certainly going to take him up on that offer!

Last nite’s Raw was pretty good. I was glad to see Tajiri get so much camera time, and even go over Kane (via countout and green mist), even if Kane got in a post-match beatdown on him after losing. The HHH/Shelton Benjamin match was excellent. Shelton has the tools to be a big star I think, his ring work looks damn solid, and HHH made him look great in that match. It was a well-told story with a lot of buidling, back and forth moments and near falls, leading to Shelton going over via pinfall pretty clean! After Shelton did so well in that Smackdown gauntlet match a few weeks back, I figured they were building to give him a singles push. I hope his ex-partner Charlie Haas is equally successful over on Smackdown as he seems to be a solid worker too. They seem to be training guys the right way down there in OVW.

Saturday we had our pinball league. It was pretty fun, I had more fun playing Dan’s old bowling game than I did with the pinball. My partner didn’t show up, and didn’t pre-play either, so he fucked us over! I went into doubles handicapped by the fact that the only way out team could beat the other one is if I beat the combined scores of the other team on each game. While I took first on each game, I only was able to beat the combined score once, by 80 points! So my team lost. Singles started and I sucked major ass. I took 3 lasts, a second and a first. My playing has gone to shit, I never play at home these days (especially now with my basement still not back in order) so my skills have waned. I need to practice up when the basement gets back together. Anyone going to come play some pinball with me when that happens?

Yesterday I spent half the day recording songs for the radio show I’m going to be on tomorrow nite. It is all CA punk with lots of Weirdos songs in honor of them playing this saturday. I can’t wait!

ebay user Scott666 needs a good punch in the face, and if I ever meet him in person, I am going to do just that. Fuck you, you little shitstain!

This coming up tuesday nite (March 30th) I will be guest co-hosting a punk radio show! My friend, Darius (who books shows around Chicago and runs Criminal IQ records) has asked me to co-host this upcoming show in honor of The Weirdos coming to town on April 3rd. I’ll be supplying all the music, which will mainly consist of early punk from CA, but I’ll sprinkle in some vintage punk from other areas as well. I’ll play plenty of Weirdos songs of course as well. So check it out if you can. The last time I hosted a real-life radio show was back when I did a punk show on our high school’s radio station (something I believe Shigolch still has tapes of somewhere!).

I was using a free referring system for this page that was down on the right hand side under the blogroll. Does anyone know of a similar system I could use that is easy to understand, and implement? I liked seeing on my blog where people were finding me from.
