I went to see the above bands last nite at The Bottom Lounge. It was a good show, despite the fact I had to go to it by myself and no one talked to me. I noticed that these emo kids all seem to wear bike messenger bags, which bang into you when they try and walk by you. I am going to go out on a limb and say these kids are not all bike messengers by trade. All three bands were good, and I liked The Black Eyes the best (and I really enjoyed their album on Dischord). Q and Not U finished their set with everyone from the other bands joining them on stage for a couple numbers in cluding a cover of the Screamers’ “Vertigo” which I would throw down a sizeable bet that I was the only one in the audience that knew that bit of information. I snapped some pictures at the show and below are the results. I’m starting to get some better pictures with this camera now, a trend I hope spills over big time tonite when I go see These Arms Are Snakes!
