Odds and Ends

The new Ohgr album is really good. I like it at least as much as the first one, maybe more. The new Cevin Key album is also really good, and very reminiscent of old Skinny Puppy material.

Last nite’s Raw was average at best. The stuff with Kane wasn’t than interesting. The stuff with Shawn Michaels and Jerhico and Orton was pretty good, and Booker T had a good showing in his match, and I hope they keep that title with him for awhile.

Tonite I’m going to see Pirates of the Carribean. At the drive-in theatre! The drive-in rules, I went a few weeks ago and it was one of the most fun times I’ve had in ages. The drive in is also $6 for a double feature. The nearest multiplex to me is $9. The drive in allows you to sit outside, eat, drink, and relax. The multiplex allows you to sit close to a stranger who is likely going to have their cell phone ringing during the movie. Sure the sound isn’t as good but who cares, I can get the theatre sound with the dvd later, or at the multiplex in the winter when the drive in is not open, or if I’m going to the movies with guys instead of a girl.

I finally caught up on some much-needed sleep last nite. Total amount sleep I got between thursday and monday was around 12 hours. When the alarm woke me up today, I could easily have gone back to sleep for another couple hours.

I can’t decide for the life of me where I want to go to lunch today. My initial lunch plans got cancelled.

This saturday – SINCE BY MAN is playing at the fireside, then I’m going to high-tail it over to some other place to see Milemarker play some benefit show. I hope to be able to pull that off, I think it will work out.

I heard that at the recent Metallica show here in Chicago, Limp Bizkit got booed off the stage and there was this whole big hoopla. I find that funny, and despite the fact that I think Metallica has sucked since shortly after Master of Puppets, I gotta say their remaining fans rule for that one. I wish I could see the footage on that event.
